Description

Green Comet, Asclepias viridiflora.  Is a native perennial milkweed that grows wild in 3/4th of the US states.

Plant Description: 

Plants grow 2′ to 3′  tall on straight hairy stems.

Leaves are stiff and wavy.

Flower color ranges from light green to yellow with a blush of purple.

Pods are compact rather than long and thin.

Growing conditions:

Found in woodlands, sand dunes, prairies, grasslands, or limestone glades.

Full sun to part shade and well drained soil.

Plant 12″ – 24″ apart.
