Description

Whorled milkweed is a perennial that will fill in an area quickly with fast spreading shallow rhizomes. Delicate white flowers sit atop soft wispy stems that grow 18″ – 30″ tall. Will not flower the first year. The soft leaves are the perfect food for the smallest of Monarch caterpillars.

Prefers full sun and well drained poor soils.

Native to most of the continental US except: CA, CO, ID, ME, NV, NH, OR, UT, WA.
